Hi everyone! Words truly cannot express the gratitude I have for all the support I have received since starting my business back in 2020. Believe it or not, this business began when I was finishing my last semester in college! In school, I had numerous business plans to create and each time I developed one, it was based on the dream of owning my café. 

The last assignment for my Major was to market MYSELF. I decided to do something different and share my love for the food industry, and I was nervous about sharing. Why? Well, I had never told anyone (outside of my parents & brother) that this was the career I dreamed of - the only one that I could imagine being happy in. Growing up, everyone I knew wanted to be a doctor, lawyer, teacher, engineer, etc., but I had NEVER met someone, especially a woman, who had the desire to work in the food industry. So little old me took the opportunity and my college project became about creating social media accounts about myself; I focused on promoting the meals I enjoyed making at home. 

My love for charcuterie boards came in 2019 when I became a Castmember at Walt Disney World Resort through the Disney College Program. I worked in Quick Service at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. My favorite meal was the grab & go charcuterie board. After working a shift, that little charcuterie board brought me so much joy during my breaks.  It really gave me something to look forward to while I was working.  Listen, working in food service at Disney is not easy; I had to look for the bright spots during those long days! Of course, my last school assignment included posting my charcuterie board creations.  Once friends and family saw the posts, everyone started reaching out to ask if I sold them...Sabrina's Delicacies was born!

I graduated in the Fall of 2020 and officially started my business in February of 2021.  The Disney Food Blog caught wind of my Disney-themed charcuterie boards and graciously posted an article featuring them. (INSERT LINK). This took my business to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL!  I will never forget the day I was sitting at my cubicle; a little marketing intern wishing for a sign to show me that my business was going to be a success. I know this sounds insane, but just a few hours later my social media accounts blew up as a result of that blog article.  I accepted it as THE sign and decided to quit my marketing internship and dedicate myself to building my full-time business.

Here I am, 3 years later, writing this “About Me” section on MY café's website.  MY WEBSITE!!! This would never have happened without the support of my family and the support of my community. Many of my customers have become my friends, and I love that.  Without all of you, I would more than likely still be a girl wondering if I should take the risk to accomplish this dream of mine.
